Escape

I don’t know what is appropriate to post here, but tonight it seemed appropriate that I opened my blog to my article titled “Blessed Are Those Who Mourn”. My cheeks were, after all, stained with tears. It is one of those situations where I know that God has the strength to deliver me, but I don’t know if He will. As I was on my knees praying, I was reminded that Jesus prayed very similar words, but His Father saw fit for Him to go through the pain. What were the chances that God would deliver me from mine? Jesus prayer was offered with a lot more submission than mine though. Mine doesn’t usually include a selfless “may Your will be done.” Mine usually is just me begging to not have to go through the pain, but instead to be able to come Home. He must answer me soon. I cannot hold out for Him much longer.

“My dear brothers and sisters, has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?” James 2
